Accessibility Statement

The Confident Broker, LLC Effective Date: June 1, 2025 Last Updated: June 1, 2025

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Confident Broker, LLC is committed to ensuring that our website at theconfidentbroker.com is accessible to all visitors, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that every person deserves equal access to information about business funding, financial resources, and the services we provide, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the web.

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our Site and to align with recognized accessibility standards so that everyone in our community, including the Brevard County small business owners we serve, can access our content and services with ease.

Our Accessibility Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:

  • Visual impairments including blindness and low vision

  • Hearing impairments and deafness

  • Motor and physical disabilities affecting keyboard or mouse use

  • Cognitive and learning disabilities

  • Speech disabilities

The four core principles of WCAG 2.1 require that web content be:

  • Perceivable - Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive, including through assistive technologies.

  • Operable - User interface components and navigation must be operable using a keyboard or alternative input methods.

  • Understandable - Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.

  • Robust - Content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of assistive technologies.

What We Are Doing

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of theconfidentbroker.com. Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Providing meaningful alternative text for images throughout the Site so that screen reader users receive the same information as sighted visitors.

  • Using clear and consistent heading structures to help users navigate page content logically.

  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and background elements so that content is readable for users with low vision or color blindness.

  • Writing link text that is descriptive and meaningful out of context so users relying on screen readers can understand where each link leads.

  • Designing forms, including our funding application, with clearly labeled fields and instructions to support users who rely on assistive technology.

  • Avoiding the use of content that flashes or strobes in ways that could cause harm to users with photosensitive conditions.

  • Ensuring that all functionality available by mouse is also accessible via keyboard navigation.

  • Writing content in plain language to make information understandable to the broadest possible audience.

Known Limitations

While we strive to make theconfidentbroker.com fully accessible, we acknowledge that some areas of our Site may not yet meet full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance. These may include:

  • Third-party content or tools embedded in our Site, such as our funding application platform, which is hosted and maintained by a third-party provider. We have selected providers who prioritize accessibility and encourage them to meet accessibility standards, but we cannot fully control all aspects of third-party tools.

  • Older documents, PDFs, or downloadable files that may not yet be fully optimized for screen readers. We are working to remediate these on a priority basis.

  • Video or multimedia content that may not yet have full captions or audio descriptions.

We are committed to addressing known limitations as quickly as possible and to ensuring that no accessibility gap prevents you from accessing the information or services you need.

Third-Party Tools and Platforms

Our Site may use or link to third-party tools and platforms including our funding application platform, social media pages, and community resources. While we select third-party providers with accessibility in mind, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content hosted on external platforms. If you experience an accessibility issue on a third-party platform linked from our Site, we encourage you to contact that platform directly. You may also contact us and we will do our best to provide the same information through an accessible channel.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Accessibility is not a one-time project. It is an ongoing commitment that is part of how we build and maintain our Site and serve our community. We review our Site regularly for accessibility issues, act on feedback from users, and update our practices as accessibility standards and best practices evolve.

If you have suggestions for how we can make our Site more accessible beyond the issues you may have encountered, we welcome that feedback as well. Our goal is to build a resource that works for every business owner in Brevard County and across Florida, and your input helps us do that better.
